His extraordinary life is a shining example of how faith can transfigure human pain. Although reduced to total blindness and burdened by severe physical infirmities in the final years of his life in San Severino Marche, Pacificus was able to endure every trial with heroic evangelical joy, transforming his bed of suffering into a chair of love and confident abandonment to God. A profound mystic, he was enriched by the Spirit with the gift of prophecy and extraordinary healing charisms, attracting crowds of faithful seeking spiritual and bodily consolation. His figure remains a point of reference for anyone experiencing the cross of illness, reminding us that the true strength of a Christian lies in the joy of the spirit even in the deepest darkness.\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
