O glorious Saint Clare, mother and guide of so many souls who have sought God,
turn your kind gaze upon us and our family.
You who lived in deep love and harmony,
obtain for us from the Lord the invaluable gift of domestic peace.
Dispel every misunderstanding, extinguish every resentment, and heal the wounds of pride and pain.
Teach each of us to forgive as we have been forgiven,
to understand before being understood,
and to love with the very charity of Christ.
Guard our home from every division,
so that, united in love and faith,

The figure of Saint Clare of Assisi is universally associated with light, evangelical poverty, and the radical following of Christ in the footsteps of Saint Francis.
