Saint Faustina Kowalska: The humble apostle of the Divine Mercy who illuminated the twentieth century

Today the Catholic Church celebrates Saint Faustina Kowalska, a Polish virgin and religious sister of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy. Having lived in the first half of the 20th century, this humble nun was chosen by Jesus as a mystic and apostle to spread the extraordinary devotion to the Divine Mercy throughout the whole world. Through her famous ‘Diary’, titled ‘Divine Mercy in My Soul’, Saint Faustina transcribed the profound revelations and messages of love received from Christ, reminding a humanity often lost that God’s mercy is an infinite ocean capable of forgiving every sin and offering hope even in the darkest moments of history.
